Though whats the point of giving blood if not to save lives.
Still I can never forget the horrible time many many years ago when the Blood Bank realised that its screening system was faulty and contaminated blood was getting through and infecting people with things like aids, I think. It has left me with a slight horror of transfusions. And of course there are those 'perverse' souls who actually want to contaminate others.

While I think about blood I also think about the blood classification system. I've felt proud to have A plus blood, namely A positive but my GP who has similar blood christened it A plus as a mark of achievement. though such blood is commonplace and I'd like to have the o variety of blood simply for the idiosyncratic quality of it. A ridiculous thought.Elisabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04015624747225433940noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28133718.post-59511091281074473842009-10-17T00:11:23.401+11:002009-10-17T00:11:23.401+11:00At some point in The Future

I was thrilled to think I could save a life.
Keep it up - someone has to.Ann ODynehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01159263330547329077noreply@blogger.com
